Question Is it ok to ignore his signal to go out?

He is 6 months old and he only started to let me know when he needs to go out about a month ago. He goes and stands by the door. He isn't very persistent though if I don't see him he will pee in the house. The problem is he loves to be outside and he is driving me crazy constantly going to the door. It doesn't matter how many walks or how much time we spend outside he always wants to go out. He even sits in the window like a cat. If I am positive he doesn't need to go out, only wants to go out, is it ok to ignore him. I don't want him to stop going to the door altogether but I can only take him out so many times a day. Thanks for any advice.
