Last night we were sitting in the living room watching t.v. All of a sudden I hear Roxie literally screaming in pain. She gets this wild hair when the cat comes in the room sometimes and flies out after him (mostly it's all how they play). She got her foot tangled in the throw that was on the back of the couch and caused her land wrong I guess. Not really sure what she hurt since I didn't see it happen. By the sound of her I thought she was going to die on me or have to rush off to the E.R. I'm in tears instantly and my hubby was to her before me. Her eyes were all squinty and obviously she was hurting. We consoled her and she calmed down. (Hubby thought maybe it knocked the wind out of her since nothing is broken). After about 20 minutes my son felt bad for her and got her a treat. She gobbled it up. I stayed up half the night with her keeping an eye on her. Today she is back to her rippy rammy self and I don't want her to do anything it scared me so bad. I feel so lucky and blessed today that she's ok. It's a reminder of how much you can't imagine your life without them in it. I really don't like it when she rips around like this but she won't stop it. Today I'm putting pillows down around things to cushion her if she does it again. Has anyone had any luck training them not to jump off of things like this?
