My choices right now are : 1) leave her home with my adult sons (they are 21 & 24). They work all day, so she will be alone during the day. or 2) take her with me in the car. It is a long drive, but she normally loves car rides and is content as long as she is with me. I tease my husband and say she is permanently attached to my hip. My gut feeling is to take her. My husband disagrees. I would love your two cents. As far as rearranging this trip-it is not an option. (Going to go visit an elderly parent who has advanced Alzheimers...we just can't skip this trip). And for those who will ask: yes we planned this litter and yes, I'm prepared.

Thanks!
I would take her but, keep in mind she can begin labor at day 58. Also, keep in mind canine behavior is strange.....even if they're ready to begin labor they can and will keep it at bay until they return to a familiar environment.

Make sure you take all her whelping supplies, get a emergency number for a vet, make sure she's kept in a quiet enviornment. And should she have the pups while away remember to make sure you take every precaution with those pups coming home.
