Well, I can tell you that if your contract for renting says no pets, they mean no pets!! Over the summer I was helping my daughter move into her apartment for school. It is a short drive from home, and we decided to take Moka with us that day. Since it was a really hot summer day I took the dog crate so Moka would have someplace to stay and not be roaming around the apartment while we went to eat dinner with our daughter. Of course, i couldn't leave her in a 100 degree plus car!!! And the contract says no pets. I figured the crate was being pet friendly and respectful of the contract. While we were gone to eat, the landloard happened to stop by and seen Moka in her crate. She BLEW A GASKET!!!! And that is putting it nicely. "Get that dog outta here, I said no dogs, and I mean no dogs!!!" LOL, It made me mad at the time, but we laugh about it now. And, I told my daughter that it is illegal for landlords to come into their apartment unannounced while they are gone and it has happened a couple more times so we are watching that closely too.
