Jackson never did work out the crate thing. I tried it for a month and it just didn't work for us.
I swear - he never gave up on the crying/whining/barking. If he knows I'm in the next room,
he just wouldn't stand for staying in the crate. I purchased an ex-pen and it helped out a bit.
Now he would stay in the crate if I was in the room with him, watching TV, etc, that was fine
but the minute I left the room, it was consistant barking and whining and crying! Ugh!
I suppose I got lucky because he became pretty trustworthy fairly quickly so I was able to just
let him be out with me. He's been left alone in the house since 4 1/2 months old and has never destroyed
anything or had an accident while I'm not home. So I gave up the crate & expen and he just stays
in the house now when we leave. But I know most dogs are not like that. I'm not sure what to
tell you. Yorkies are very needy dogs! lol.
