It is so fun to have puppies, I know. But I have to say that breeding once just because is IMO the worst reason to breed. If you do not know what to expect as far as heat then my guess is you haven't welped very many puppies? There is alot to it and it can be very dangerous for such a small breed, even if you know what you are doing. I know of alot of breeders that have lost their girls. You must be prepared to take them in for a c-section if needed. Both parents need to be tested before breeding. the list goes on and on.
Do you know what is in the backgrounds of both dogs? Are there any problems in their lines that could sneak back up in your puppies? What size were their parents, grandparents, g-grandparents? again there is alot more to breeding than just putting two cute dogs together.
My boy Copper, was born from a breeder who just put two cute dogs together. And now I have a cute dog, with liver problems.
There are so many puppies being born that will not ever have good homes. And I am sure that you have seen yorkies that barely look like yorkies, this is because people are breeding just to breed, or to make money. I would leave the breeding to those that have done the research, and want to make the breed better.
You girl is adorable, and deserves to be a spoiled lap baby.
