How much do you know about breeding. Have you studied and attended classes in canine genetics, whelping, breeding, the yorkie breed. I don't know your girl's or your sister's yorkie pedigree are. However, if they come from great lines, learn the pedigrees inside and out. Have all the prebreeding tests on them; bile acids, hips & knees x-rayed (OFA), heart tests, complete blood counts, kidney's checked, hearing tested as well as temperament tests performed. If you haven't already, find a good mentor that knows yorkies inside and out.....preferrably one that is an exhibitor. Start purchasing whelping supplies and building a bank account (anything can go wrong and when it does it gets expensive). You're reason for breeding is to provide family and friends with a pup.....or keep them for yourselves.

My one and only question to you; Are you prepared to lose your girl and/or the entire litter, because it does happen and more often than not.
