I've been using a SS water bowl and porcelain/ceramic for the food. I wasn't doing that intentionally but I'm happy to know I was doing right. 
Oh, I just got one of those water bottle feeders from Mimimomo and was going to try that out. My guys are always dipping their faces into the water and then wanting to kiss on my while they're dripping wet.  I had planned to use a plastic bottle for this, but I guess I need to look for a glass one instead? |
The best product to use for feeding and water is Stainless Steel.
There was an article on plastic not too long ago. A dog was experiencing siezures. Tests were performed on the dog and nothing found. For some reason the owner changed from plastic to Stainless Steel.....siezures stopped.
I use water bottles for mine....less bacteria, no wet beards and the water stays cleaner.
