Maddox's breeder sent us a really nice SS bowl in his puppy pack. The rubber ring around the bottom is very easy to take off & put back on, so I just pop it off before I put the dish in the dishwasher. I use REALLY hot water when I have to handwash things in the sink but I feel like things get more sanitary when I run them through the dishwasher.
