I usually leave food out all the time. Is that a bad or good thing~? He wouldn't eat this am, so I did the hot water trick....and he ate all of his two scoops I am sure that warmed him and his belly up. It is a constant battle of what he will eat or how to go about it every so often.

It depends on how old the dog is. Mine are 2 and 3 years old. We put the food down in the morning and at night and pick it up after they finish each meal. Otherwise, they would just nibble throughout the day.
