My BB used to do that too, I used a squirty bottle with water in it (that's what they use at the Doggy Day Care and I wanted to be consistent) - I never had to squirt it as he recognized the bottle and just picking it up would stop him barking immediately BUT, he
was barking for attention, he has just replaced the barking with backwards kicking and huffing now and to be honest, it is usually when he's due some face time or has run out of water or biscuit! 10 minutes training and/or playing does the trick, but I make sure I do it before I sit down so he still thinks I'm in control, and so do I
