Hi to ChaChi, My girl has had protein allergies since a very young age, which is different than skin allergies, I know. But it does still seem to get worse in the fall for some reason. It could be there is something outside that she eats that gets it started and then I have to put her on a special diet. I have allergies year round too and it is grasses in the summer and housedust in the winter. All foods must be considered as an added upset possibility. My allergies are worse when I eat certain foods too.(wheat/dairy). For my Kip, I put her on IAMS lamb and rice or IAMS Active Seniors food, and of all things, Western Family brand chicken canned food. I've tried all the expensive canned foods and the cheap one is the only one she can keep down. Go figure! For skin allergies, I had a Golden Retreiver once that had it bad and the shampoo had to be a medicated type that would not overly dry the skin. You might even think about a vitamin suppliment or brewers yeast in the diet, and an aloe vera or eczema lotion to ease the scratching. Good luck, allergies drive me nuts.
