I am not sure but the vet did say that she had to stop using plastic bowls and to clean out the dog bowl every day with hot soap and water. Also he said to make sure the dogs toes were dried off if they got wet from going outside.
As for the dog bowls we use glass, because my dog Daisy would never drink or eat out of plastic.
