Mary, do you have any tips on preventing accidents in the ring? So far I have been lucky and have not had a dog have a accident in the ring but one time I had a dog get bad diarrhea right before going into the ring. That was very stressful. Luckily I had time to run back to the grooming area and clean him up before show time. I think the bait I had bought at the show the day before had made him sick.
Usually I will feed the dog a small meal the morning of the show. When I get to the show I will walk the dog and let him relieve himself before I start the grooming process. I like to give myself at least an hour to do the grooming. |
