 Worst night ever.
I work nightshift with a small team of collegues, just 2 women and 3 men. Within 2 weeks of joining them one guy started giving me some pretty full on unwanted advances. I made it quite clear I wasn't intrested, he's married to a very nice quiet girl. But that didn't make any difference, still the suggestions and invitations kept comming. Eventually one of the other guys had a word with him, you'd think it would stop there but no, it finally dawned on him No meant No but then the bullying started. I suppose I should of expected it really, but when everything you say is twisted against you life can get pretty devistating. I mean to have it suggested that your life isn't worth living because you dont have a guy or kids can cut pretty deeply.
So after a week of put downs and snide remarks I guess I'd finally had enough, last night I finally collard a manager and reported it. Thankfully two of my collegues are standing by me, the other, this guys best buddy is standing by him even though deep down he knows whos right, he's just going to refuse to make a statement. Says alot really. Tried to put the blame on me if his friend looses his job, as usual blame the victim game. At leaast I break up Monday night so get a couple of weeks to come to terms with it.
Just needed to get this off my chest before I go crazy. |
