Default Is this normal???

If you recall, Ellie had her puppies on 11/14. They are 5 weeks old today. She got eclampsia and had to be taken away from nursing the puppies. Her milk finally dried up, and the babies are now lapping milk and rice cereal. They are all doing fine with the exception of the runt. He eats like crazy, but he constantly cries. I check him to make sure he is warm, belly is full, has went poop & pee, but still just whines. After about 5 minutes he stops and goes to sleep with the rest of the litter. Ellie doesn't like spending much time with them because they all start pawing at her trying to nurse. I have a onesie on her so that they can't get to her.

My question is that she is still having a bloody discharge. It's not a bright red, but it's red. Sometimes there is a jelly like substance with it. (Sorry to be so graphic). I have searched on the internet and some state that it can last 8-10 weeks, while others state that it can last 3 weeks. Can it be that she is going to have this longer because she's not nursing the pups? Is it normal to go on this long? How do I know when something is wrong?
