My best friend had 2 babies in a row, one is now 1 and the other 2, she had to quit the salon she worked at but before she left she gave her phone number to her clients. She also placed an ad on craigslist and has been doing Wedding parties ( she loves it) , she has been making more then what she used to bring home before. No chair rental, no overhead, and makes a killing on the wedding parties. So maybe there really is a bright side. She also put a flyer up in a local assisted living facility and has several clients now by word of mouth and they are willing to work around her schedule. Alot of those ladies do not have cars so having someone come to them is wonderful. I think it really could work.
