Hi there! This is my first post!

I just got my baby Ruby on Wednesday from a breeder and I think she has fleas. She didn't come from a dirty home, but there were several dogs and they were allowed outside to potty.

I noticed a flea-type bug running on her body last night and her scratching, so I'm pretty sure she has fleas. I am taking her to her first vet appointment tomorrow, so I was wondering if I should wait to do anything. I've heard to use Dawn soap, wash everything and vaccuum alot. Should I just ask the vet?

We live in an apartment, so it's going to be hard to control other families with pets that have fleas. Help!
