The only stress he could of had was this past weekend when we took him to a cousins house in his crate. He was crying for a while, we didn't take the x-pen since it was cold outside, and we didn't want him running around the house with lots of little kids around.
if it looks like the last jelly poop with blood in it then yes it is stress colitis - this breed has very sensitive stomachs and some have a nervous disposition allowing them to get stressed easily and have digestive issues such as this. Personally i always opt for probiotics over antibiotics and i use dds plus from the vitamin shoppe as i think antibiotics are way over used in the veterinary profession and then what happens when your dog really needs them they can become immune like in humans. The board certified dentist we saw just did a dental on my dee dee and never prescribed antibiotics yet i hear all the time of vets giving antibiotics before the procedure during and after that is nuts he said and he has specialized in dentistry. He confirmed along with another specialist i work with antibiotics are way over used. For ex dd I thought had uti as her vulva was red and swollen so i took in urine sample for culture and urinalysis - immediately vet wanted to give her an antibiotic shot of which it was in the same family she got hives from months before on a lower dose so you can imagine what my nightmare would have been on a higher dose and i said no not until i know she has an infection reminded him of the hives uh hello do they not keep charts ???? and sure enough NO INFECTION just part of her dermatitis so glad i never gave her the baytril or the shot he prescribed as she has horrible stomach issues and allergies and this could have made her worse.

I always go the most conservative probiotics, then if that is not working tylan powder then if that is not working metronidazole. Tylan is a much lower dose than metronidazole and it has an anti-inflammatory agent as well but it has a bitter taste and comes in a powder so why most vets go to metronidazole.

White rice will also firm up diarhea as well. So here is my take if there is not parasites, no infection then why treat with an antibiotic? Just go to a probiotic a little white rice if your dog does not have allergies and maybe a little pumpkin to firm them up -- TOO MUCH pumpkin will make them worse and go the other way and make the diarhea worse
