Oh no, I am so sorry for her and you too! My vet wanted to keep Zoey overnite... is their normal procedure but when I found out noone would be there with her I requested special permission to bring her home. I think the only positive thing is maybe no distractions will allow her to sleep fully thru the nite.
We have 2 of the softee cone collars (thanks to Mom to Hot Rod - Bo) tho we haven't had to use them tonite. I left one with her at the vets office but she hasn't begun 'messing' with the incision yet. I suspect tomorrow and the days that follow will be a different story. I know that I am very happy to have them on hand and they received high praises by the vet staff.
