You are doing the right thing. Just let her know that you are there for her. Once in a while, sit down on the floor next to her and pet her. Then just leave her be. On her own time she will probably come out of her shell. It can take a few days...and even after that, it takes weeks before you really see their personalities.

That is why in our rescue we feel that all pups should be with us for a while before we consider placing them. When we first get them we have no idea what they will be like.
