I have a "tiny" (toy poodle) at 4/5 pounds and a "over the standard" yorkie mix that is 9/10 pounds, but he to me is still small. He is the same height as my toy poodle ( 7 inches) but very sturdy. We do treat Lexee like she is fraile and breakable, but with Tucker we play rougher with, dont worry so much if he running around and jumping from one couch to another..
(which is not allowed in my house, but just like kids they do it anyways
). If I was to buy another small breed of dog I would try and find one more similar to Tucker, small but sturdy.
