So sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet kitty... don't give up, though. Many longhaired cats can have problems, esp. those from Persian bloodlines. There are tests that can be done to determine any genetic problems. You may have better luck with a DSH, but any cat that you don't know their background can be at a higher risk. I adopted a Himy and pray that he's okay on a daily basis. I should take my own advice and have him worked up by the vet. She didn't find anything evident at his first two visits. He's a beauty. Your kitty was very beautiful too.
