Debarking a whole litter seems like a ploy to sell barkless dogs that are otherwise known as "yappers." It's a shame. We have two clients with debarked dogs and the poor things are just frustrated to heck. Barking is a form of communication. I think it's just as bad as declawing cats. It takes away part of what makes the animal an animal.

I know sometimes it's a necessity for the dog to have a home, but I think it should only be used in that situation. To me, a barkless puppy could end up having other behavioral issues because he can't get his emotions or frustrations out by barking!
