Thank you , thank you thank you. I'm no Angel. I am the type of person that you cant tell me what I am going to do. My mom always said how stubborn I was growing up. But one thing about me is that if I see a need for something, I see need for help, I see a family in need. I will go and offer what little I have to share. We started serving the homeless for the past 2 years then come home and eat here. No one asked me to do this. But after seeing these people. I mean entire families lined up, dressed in their best outfits...to come and eat Thanksgiving under a tent? That hurts me. I could not stop crying as I handed out plates and desserts to families. And I cant tell you how many woman came up to me and talk to me in spanish and tell me " Thank you for doing this, you have no idea what this means to us." Thats when it feels amazing to help total strangers. It would not be the same if someone told me " Today you are going to volunteer" You help so much more when it honestly comes from your heart. This year I stayed home so I can actually cook our dinner but my husband and daughters all went and served. My husband comes back glowing with a true appreciation and thankful for what we do have.
Thank you all.
