I guess I'm lucky I found a good groomer around here! She's in a small shop and the only groomer there (the place sells puppies, ugh!) but she always cuts Jackson EXACTLY as I say. And the most he's ever there is 2 hours, I don't have to wait all day to pick him up. She's $50 every time and I give her a $10 tip every time because Jackson is not the easiest to groom (he's fine w/ me, doesn't like strangers touching him!) but she always does a good job and he doesn't come back traumatized or anything.
I have been wanting to just say screw it... buy my own pair of clippers and do it myself. But he just never looks as good as he does when he comes back from the groomer. I keep up in between grooming's and trim the hair from eyes, etc, but that's it.
I think I would be scared to take him to Petsmart. My mom used to always bring her dog there and they'd always just shave her up because she "was too matted" which I know was NOT true. And she was a very good dog during being groomed and never moved around so they were just lazy. |
