I, too, was worried about the cold and snowy days of Michigan. Here's what is working for us...Winston would not use the potty patch, so I decided to get a piece of sod to put in my garage with a little fence around it (so he wouldn't escape) to see if he would potty in it. I added some wood chips and a rock that he peed on so he would know what I wanted him to do. He is pretty stubborn, but I had a chair and a magazine, and I just waited him out. He finally peed. Now getting him to poop is a little harder...but he has pooped in it a couple of times. I just have to be patient and wait. I also put a little heater in the garage so neither one of us gets too cold. Right now Winston is in the hospital after surgery for chiari malformation. He is doing well and hope to get him home in a couple of days. Hope this helps.
