Yes those pups are great a making anyone think they are about to suffer and die inside their crate when they are really just lonely!!! I would wait until your puppy stops whining (a space in between whines) to open his crate. That might help the whining. I remember for the first 3-4 months I had to take my yorkie outside just about every hour and a half. But he did test me the first several nights in his crate!
