I will add that I have lived in Germany and loved it.. been to England and loved it but was there for a holliday..
I am Canadian, and I come to Florida for the winter.. if I could I would live full time in the states.. but that will not ever happen.. so I enjoy the winters and hope my health stays good for many years yet..
If I could live in the States I think I would love South Carolina, Not Florida as I could not due the humid weather and storms in the summer months..I have not been to Arizona yet.. one of these years I will do the west coast of the States..
I would also want to live where the ecomony is cheaper..like some have said about NY and NJ.. I think California would be expensive.. in fact Florida is not cheap if one was paying property tax.. I pay enough and live in an rv park that have mostly park model homes..
I love to travel and would love to take a year to just do that. Depending on your age as to what I would do.. If I had to do it over again.. in the 70 I could have come to the states and simply appiled for a green card.. that takes guts for a young person to do.. so I did not..
A neighbor of ours wants to retire in San Salador, or El Salvador.. says it is cheap.. and they go each year for christmas.,.. so I would do that for a few years too.. if I have enough years left..
