If she is not ready, he will do a lot of you might say "foreplay" mounting, but just not serious.
It really depends when her cycle began, days 10 to 14 are the best, normally.
he might need just a bit more encouragement if her scent isn't quite strong enough.
you could try stimulating him a bit to see if that helps. Sometimes giving her a bath helps.
One breeder says she takes the female and holds her out of his reachf, teasing him a bit.
Is he vulva tilted towards the back? Does she move her tail to the side if you touch her above her tail. Dab her with a tissue, is it red or browinsh?
