I have a 7 month old female who is coming along. I have not tied back her whiskers yet, but am starting to be concerned about her chewing them or rubbing them. Anyone have a rule of thumb for when the damage would be less from banding than possible chewing.

Katelyn your girl looks great ! I started banding Sebastien's mustache at around 8 months I think. He loves to chew on his toys and I find the banding keeps the hair out of the way.I put on my spray of water ,oil and conditioner before I put on the bands.He has no breakage and the hair is really growing fast.I tried wrapping it ,but he found a way to chew the wraps.I change the bands everyday.
