We had to leave Rowdy for 2 weeks with my daughter when he was only 3 months old. We went on a cruise too! I called home every day when I could to check on him. I was sooo worried, but it worked out really well. He loves my daughter and granddaughter and their cat is his favorite playmate. He stays with them when we go out of town for the weekend occasionally, and he always does fine. I think the advice to get your baby used to the person who will keep her is good. Lexi will miss you and you her, but it shoudl be OK.
