I think they start losing teeth around 5 or 6 months and then they should have all of the adult teeth in by 8 months. Some yorkies don't lose their baby teeth but there are homeopathic remedies to help this occur naturally or you can give him hard things to chew on and play lots of tugowar to get them to come out too.

I know you don't want to put him under anesthesia more than once but my vet wouldn't pull my daughter's dogs teeth during his neuter surgery because he had so many and he would have to be under for too long. I have also heard of vets pulling the "wrong" teeth so I would recommend second opinions (when it is time) from both a homeopathic vet and a dental specialist as to what they recommend before you make the decision as to what is best for your little guy.
