My 6 month old Yorkie, Lucy, has that same coat.
I am new here too...... So I have actually been meaning to post this same question.
But it sounds like our babies have the same coat...... her face is a little bit longer and softer, but her back is short and coarse.
My other yorkie, Hendrix, is very very thick and soft and sometimes he gets curly.... his hair is like slik, though. They are complete opposites.
