First, don't feed them for two hours preceding a car ride.
In order to get them used to riding in a car, start by taking them out to the car and just sitting in it for a few minutes then take them back into the house.
It helps them if they can see out while you are driving.
Next time, take them on maybe a five minute ride, but please avoid heavy traffic. It would be best to take them where there is little traffic and noise.
Continue to increase the trip time and you should have a puppy that enjoys going for rides in the car.
All we have to do at our house is say, "Want to go for a ride?" Then they head straight to the door!
