Hello everyone. I'm new to this community and a new yorkie owner. His name is Toby, he's 3 1/2 years old and he's a rescue from a puppy mill. He was rescued from the puppy mill about a year ago and his foster mom was absolutely wonderful with him. She raised him with three yorkies of her own and a poodle and cats. I've only had him a week. He's made lots of progress but still isn't the lap dog I'm wanting him to be but am told in time it will happen and I see that coming in the near future. He's still a bit skittish when you approach him. But he's so adorable..........even at 3 1/2 years old he's only about 90% housebroken. I will do a search in the forums for tips on raising a rescue dog and any advice you have will be welcomed. I LOVE TAKING pictures so you will probably see lots of pics from me. LOL I also have a shichon named Speedy and she loves having another dog in the house and a new playmate. But they are still "learning" each other's habits. I look forward to being a part of this community!
