I've been plucking Daisy and Barney's ears for 9 years now. They have not had issues with ear infections. I use Bio-Groom ear cleaner and pluck the hair with my fingers from inside. I dont shave the ears down too much inside but I do trim them. I also have a tool to look inside their ears so I can see what's in there. So far, it's been pretty boring viewing. I sometimes see wax. Teddy has only been plucked once or twice - he is still a baby.
