This is probably a question that has been answered before, but I could not find and answer that I understand. How can you tell which kind of coat a Yorkie has ? Does it change in texture from when they are puppies to when they are adults? Gizmo is 16 weeks and seems to have really sparse hair compared to some of the other cute little furry guys I have seen pictures of. I don't know how to tell what cottony, wooly, silky or wiry are. I read on here that only certain types will grow long and that some of them matt easily. Gizmo just looks like a porcupine, for lack of a better discription. He has silver sprigs on the roots on the few long hairs he has. His hair just feels like hair to me...I'm lost...Help...
