I actually was just at Petsmart picking up potty pads a couple of hours ago and looked at the washables while I was there. I think the ones I saw did have an attractant in them. If you do decide to go with them, try putting the disposables on top of the new washable for a while and always put them in the same place(s) in your house so that your baby associates with the location that he's supposed to do his business there and not so much focus on what type of pad is in his "spot"
