That sounds like a great start. I'd keep doing that for awhile. Maybe that will end it. Next I think I'd have him approach w/treats & offer them before the growling starts, and only then. If he growls, no treats & on the floor again. Maybe dh could be the one to feed him for awhile, & also some extra play time. Hopefully he'll get over this stage before he develops into a worse bad habit. Good luck!
