I got a letter in the mail today regarding this. It's weird because the letter is from a vet that Prince has never gone to. The letter said, in summary...This virus only affects dogs (that's the canine part
) and the most common sign is a persistent cough varying from a soft "productive" cough to a dry cough comparable to Kennel Cough. Other symptoms include a low-grade fever, nasal discharge, lack or energy, and loss of appetite.
There is no specific treatment for this, but the vac is supposed to reduce the severity and length of time your dog is sick.
I haven't read the web sites yet, but I doubt if Prince will get it. He's exempt from all of the regular vaccinations because of his adverse reaction to them.
Who knows what these "poisons" will do to our babies.
