it sounds kind of funny, but when I give Woody a bath I put on my bathing suit and go in the bathtub with him. that way he is not so scared. lots of treats, and then a nice warm blow dry, and then a very soft and pretty puppy!!!

That's a very good idea! The first few times Chase was very scared too. I think it was because I was letting off, "Am I doing this right?//so worried" vibes. Once I calmed myself down, he settled down. Also, I give him treats in the kitchen and continue to give them to him until he is in the tub. While I carry him into the bathroom I sing, "Splishy , splashy...Chase is taking a bathy" song. You can laugh...(my husband did) but it calmed us both down. I sit him on my lap on the side of the tub and let him listen to the water run. I think he was scared of the sound of the water. I make sure the water is very warm-obviously not hot. Our faucet doesn't have a way to hook up a sprayer so I use a small tupperware container to pour water on him. He likes to stay FAR away from the faucet so this works well. All I can say is that after about 4 or 5 baths he actually liked--or just accepted it. I use tear free shampoo to scrub his widdle face and other shampoo and conditioner on his body. Another thing I do is give him hiney baths every couple days (full bath once a week) and I think the hiney bath because it is so short made him feel more comfortable in the tub. Don't know if this will help you and Yoda but it has worked for us. Good luck!!
