Default Question about spaying

Lucy is coming up on 6 months now.
She was born the end of June.
She is losing her baby teeth.

Last time she was weighed she was 4.2 pounds... she has grown a little bit more, but not too much.

I have heard many different things, so I am wondering when I should get her spayed?

I know yorkies can be very sensitive to anethisia so the whole idea makes me so nervous and sad for her, but I know that I have to do it because she is very small and I have no plans on breeding.

oh and is it true that it is healthier for them to be fixed..... in terms of certain cancers?

Anyways, I am thinking of getting her spayed in January. Is that too early? I am nervous for her to go into heat becuase I have been told that the price will double to spay her and that it is a lot harder on thier bodies.

Ahhhh so many questions!

Please help
