Meanwhile, I have a few questions for posters here. Oliver will be 15 next month and shows occasional signs of confusion. He's developed a marking problem but our vet advised against belly bands, saying that he's seen too many resulting urinary tract infections. However, no one here has mentioned that problem: so am i correct in assuming it can be avoided with the kind of meticulous care described in this thread? Has anyone had problems w/ belly bands and UT infections? I'd also be grateful to hear from anyone who began using the BBs when their Yorkies were advanced seniors like Oliver. How did your dog adapt? Any chance that the BB can revive old potty training habits?
Thanks, all ! | I've been wondering this same thing. Alexander will be 14 in February and he's having a harder time getting around, especially in this colder weather. I've been thinking about trying belly bands on him but worry about how he'll adjust.
