Dogs can develop allergies if they are on the same food for an extended period of time, but like Ann said, if you don't save any novel proteins, you'll have a problem if an allergy ever does develop. After getting some experience with Ellie, if I had a kibble-fed dog, I would likely not change it often. I would add people food to it for variety though.
