Whos's gonna spread the word, where are they going to spread it? Yes, possibly on forums such as YT but when you get right down to it...it's insignificant. As vast as the show world is, it's also much like a small town..Word spreads quickly unfortunately not always down to the unknowing public, but it does spread. While reputable breeder / exhibitors do not sit ring side discussing the breeding practice of other exhibitors, of course it is discussed privately and when someone ask for a recommendation, they simply refer the person to another breeder whom they know practices good responsible breeding. Anyone who actually knows anything about those "dog show people", know what the truth is and to those that don't know, it would be well worth their time to find more before trying to critize. No, show breeders can't and won't produce enough puppies forall the loving homes that want a Yorkie. That's not what they are about. There will always be a place for reputable home, hobby breeders that breed to standard and for health... it's just finding one out of the multitude of not so good, back yard breeders, puppy millers and brokers out there. That's a problem. JMO

Excuse me but I do not think I mentioned anything about "Hobby Breeders" breeding for health because they want return business. I mentioned NOTHING of the sort. I made a comment about my PERSONAL dealings. I think you need to get off your high horse. And, yes it is my oppinion that I would prefer to deal direct with a small home breeder then a large kennel. Everyone is entitled to their oppinion on that subject, however don't put words in my mouth.
