You need to find a recipe prepared by a nutritionist and follow it exactly to be sure it is nutritionally balanced. You will have to add bone meal or calcium, canola oil (or some other oil that will provide linoleic acid), a good multivitamin, some source of iodine to support his thyroid function, etc. as called for in your particular recipe It's not something you can make up yourself.

Getting the phosphorus to calcium ratio right is critical. It needs to be 1.2 parts of calcium for each 1 part of phosphorous (1.2:1).

Excess calcium or a calcium deficiency can lead to all sorts of health problems.
