Until your puppy is at least 6-7 months of age I would free-feed. Because Yorkies are so small and tend to have problems with hypoglycemia, it's important for food to always be available. At this age it's too early to be worrying about overfeeding. Little puppies need to be fat anyway . Once he hits 1 year or when you switch to adult food, you can start to portion his meals.
