I would choose a G-Pig any day of the week over hamsters and gerbils. Maybe you could get the longer haired ones for a switch?
Boy hamsters have a PACKAGE that drags around behind them UGHHHHHHH.
We have all three and I really don't like any but the pigs. The pigs will actually become friendly.
Not to mention catching a loose g-pig is WAYYYYY easier then the other 2.
