After reading these posts however, I am unsure whether 'paperwork' was submitted by the breeder of if I am suppose to do it? I know I gave the chip number to my vet but will have to investigate this further.

Uni came chipped from the breeder as well. That just means they put the chip ID number sticker onto your paperwork, but you have to send in the papers with your info and payment. I think when you send in the contact info is when you pay, so unless the breeder already got your info and paid for you, you still have to do it. What I mean is, my breeder paid for the chip and putting it in, I paid for registering it.
